As detectives look for clues, they’re hoping to find video of someone with an explosive device near a car.

Troopers clock car nearly 50 mph over speed limit on I-77

Tuesday afternoon on Wade Oval, some type of device exploded next to a parked car.

That did some damage to the car, no one was in it, and no one was hurt.

That area draws families and college student to the area around the Natural History Museum, which is where the incident happened.

University Circle Police Chief Tom Wetzel said, “Right now, we’re doing a deep dig on everything. We’re evaluating all camera angles. We’re trying to interview anybody that might have been in the area. We’ve put a high visibility in that area, just as a precautionary measure, just so that people have a sense of safety and security.” He added, “But, unquestionably, something was put by that car. Tossed by that car.”
