2 dead in murder-suicide shooting in Cedar Park

CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — Cedar Park police are investigating a shooting where two people died Saturday night.
On Monday, police said the incident was a murder-suicide, and the incident is still under investigation.
Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Jennifer Diaz. Chris Molnar, 37, was named the suspect.
The Cedar Park Police Department said officers responded to shots fired call around 10:50 p.m. Saturday on Fawnfield Drive and found a dead woman with multiple gunshot wounds in a car in a driveway.
The Central Texas Regional SWAT Team responded to the scene and a shelter-in-place alert was sent to neighbors, police said. Law enforcement believed the suspect was in the home at the time.
SWAT entered the home around 1:45 a.m. and found a man dead inside.
CPPD’s major crimes unit is investigating the deadly shooting.
