Victim identified in deadly Ville Platte shooting, mother heartbroken
VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) — One person was killed in a shooting in Ville Platte on Rev. E.D. Alfred Street Tuesday.
Authorities said 40-year-old Christopher Guillory was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.
News 10 spoke with Rose Guillory, Christopher Guillory’s mother, who said it is extremely hard, seeing as no parent should have to bury their child.
“I wouldn’t wish that on no mother because it’s rough,” Rose Guillory said.

Fighting back tears, the victim’s mother said she wants answers and justice. His family is demanding answers.
“To see your child laying down full of blood, it’s very hard,” the mother said. “It’s a very a hard thing.”
A family friend and neighbor who said she saw Christopher Guillory on the porch is tired of the killing because it’s not safe for children to to be outside.
“He was down on the porch and full of blood,” the neighbor said. “I checked for his pulse. I checked for everything, that’s reasonable for something like that, but he died instantly. Please, y’all. Our kids cannot play outside.”
Although information is limited, Ville Plate Police Department is investigating the homicide.
The family is asking if anyone knows anything to please speak up as all they want is justice.
