Police investigate stabbing at Granger hospital

GRANGER — Police were investigating a report of a stabbing at Beacon Hospital in Granger.

Mishawaka Police Department officers were dispatched to the hospital at 11:22 p.m. Monday, police said.

Officers made contact with a 24-year-old woman who had been stabbed three times. The injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, the Mishawaka Police Department said.

While officers were at the hospital, another call came in for a second injured woman. She is 23 years old, and had been battered, sustaining minor facial injuries. She was calling from the Quality Inn, 535 W. University Drive.

Both women know one another, with this altercation stemming from an ongoing grievance between the two, police said.

As of Tuesday morning, neither woman was in custody, and the two are thought to be the only ones involved in this incident.
