Police: Man killed in east valley during drug transaction

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One man is dead following a shooting during a marijuana transaction at an east valley apartment complex, Las Vegas Metro police said.

The shooting was reported around 10:20 p.m. in the 300 block of Sturgeon Lane at the Amber Ridge Apartments near Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue.

Metro said the victim who suffered gunshot wounds was found in a landscaped area inside the apartment complex. The investigation shows the victim arranged a meeting with an unknown person.

The identification of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
