Police investigate double-shooting in southeast Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two people were injured, one critically, in a Tuesday morning shooting in the southeast valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The shooting was reported around 8:20 a.m. in the 3000 block of East Tropicana Avenue near McLeod Drive. Police said both individuals who were shot were transported to Sunrise Hospital.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area because an investigation is underway. Metro said there is no outstanding threat to the public.

No other details were released about the shooting.
