According to Dover Police, the teen and Bolden were arguing inside a home in the 400 block of River Road Wednesday morning when the argument turned physical.

At some point, police said the 17-year-old "obtained a firearm and shot the victim." The department did not say to whom the gun belonged.

Dover officers were called to the home just before 10:30 a.m., after receiving reports of shots fired, the department said. Bolden, from the Seaford area, was found shot in the upper body.

First responders performed first aid at the home before rushing Bolden to Bayhealth Hospital's Kent campus, where he died.

The teen left before officers arrived, but police said the boy surrendered himself at Dover police headquarters about three hours later.
