Police arrest suspect in deadly Las Vegas gang-related triple shooting

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police arrested a suspect in a deadly weekend shooting in the northwest valley. The 8 News Now Investigators learned the shooting is gang-related.

Keveon Glenn, 29, was identified as a suspect in the shooting that left one person dead and two others injured on the afternoon of Saturday, May 18, and was taken into custody on May 23, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said.

The shooting occurred in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road, off Tenaya Way, north of Smoke Ranch Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found three shooting victims. According to the Clark County coroner’s office, 41-year-old Carl Chester, Jr., 41, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. The two other victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Glenn is facing one charge of murder, two charges of attempted murder, and a charge of conspiracy to commit murder. He is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on May 28.
