Pickathon lineup unveiled: Courtney Barnett, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, and more

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The 2024 lineup for Happy Valley’s claim to the “best indie festival in the country” is here, and as expected, it’s full of bangers.

The music, arts and culture festival will boast performances from Courtney Barnett, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Durand Jones, and Elephant Revival at seven venues from Aug. 1-4. Other notable artists include CocoRosie, Chance Peña, and Vacations.

“We’ve worked so hard to put this lineup together and can’t wait to have you all on the farm to enjoy these incredible musicians with us,” festival organizers wrote in their announcement.

Last summer, Pickathon organizers hinted the 2023 festival could be their final one due to an expiring land-use permit, but in February, event founder Zale Schoenborn announced a new 10-year permit had been approved for Pendarvis Farm.

The event has become a Happy Valley mainstay, with Pickathon being held at Pendarvis Farm every year since 2006. It was previously held in North Plains at Horning’s Hideout, which now serves as a wedding venue, when the festival first began in 1999.

The full lineup featuring dozens of notable and up-and-coming musicians can be viewed below.

Tickets to the festival can be purchased on the Pickathon website. Interested attendees can buy single-day tickets, weekend passes, parking passes or RV camping passes.
