Multiple gunshots heard in new video; Person injured during Lansing shooting

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The Lansing Police Department is investigating an incident that led to a shooting on the 200 block of West Barnes Ave. around 8 p.m. Sunday.

A viewer provided 6 News videos from near the shooting. Gunshots can be clearly heard.

Police responded to a “shots fired” call and when crews arrived at the scene they said they found one person with a gunshot wound. First responders took the victim to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-treating injuries.

Officials said they do not have a suspect yet, but they believe there is no threat to the public.

This is an open investigation.
