Person hit, killed by train at College Park Metro station; delays on Green Line

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) said one person was killed by a train at the College Park Metro station on Wednesday afternoon.

PGFD said the train hit an adult at around 1:35 p.m. The Metro Transit Police Department was investigating.

In a post just after 1:50 p.m., Metro said trains were single-tracking between Greenbelt and College Park because of the crash. Officials said to expect delays in both directions.

Metro said that shuttle buses were in route as well.
