Persistent clouds kept temperatures cool

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Overcast conditions were felt throughout the morning leading to temperatures more than 10 degrees cooler than lunchtime yesterday. Temperatures were only in the upper-50s and low-60s as of noon. The clouds have lessened across the area and temperatures should be able to rise another 7-10 degrees.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid to upper-50s. We will see a mix of clouds and sunshine on Saturday, and temperatures will warm but remain in the 70s. A warm front will push through today, setting us up for a big warmup this weekend.

Temperatures will continue to warm through the weekend with inland areas climbing into the low 80s by Sunday. The warm weather will continue to start next week with all areas warming into the 80s by Tuesday.
