‘People of Earth’ at Comic-Con: Shocking (Possibly Untrue) Revelations From the Cast

The cast of TBS’s People of Earth stopped by Yahoo TV’s suite at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about Season 2. Though they may not be sworn to secrecy the way a Game of Thrones or a Marvel cast might be, there’s still not much the actors could divulge about the new season in the above video. Some of that, says Nasim Pedrad, is simply because the show is filmed out of order, leaving her wondering in interviews, “’What happened?’ ‘What are we allowed to talk about?’” Pedrad herself is a new addition to Season 2; a character that Ana Gasteyer reveals is, “A very healthy skeptic, which you always need on the show.”

In the next video, free from the dour walls of their church basement, the comedians had some fun at each other’s expense. Brian Huskey, Gasteyer, and Pedrad were told they were the best part of the show’s cast before Ken Hall, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Cassidy, and Björn Gustafsson were told the same thing. The accusations that followed — Huskey’s illiteracy, Cassidy’s multiple crushes, the smell of rotting animals — are uncorroborated, but hilarious nonetheless (judging by the remaining cast’s laughter off-camera).

People of Earth returns Monday, July 24 at 10:30 p.m. on TBS.
