Zachary Levi Finds No Fault With Ed Sheeran’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Performance

As nerd royalty, Zachary Levi has a pretty full plate when Comic-Con rolls around. For the last several years, he’s been hosting a companion event, Nerd HQ, in San Diego. This year, though, he’s hosting SYFY Live From Comic-Con show, where he took a break from rehearsals to chat with Yahoo TV.

Despite being busy, he has had time to watch and weigh in on the biggest genre controversy of the week: Ed Sheeran’s appearance on Game of Thrones. “I kinda feel bad for Ed Sheeran,” says Levi. Sheeran’s Twitter account disappeared after last Sunday’s airing (though quickly returned), but Levi doesn’t think he deserved the abuse heaped on him and — perhaps angling for a cameo of his own — appreciates when they bring talented people onto the show. In fact, they’re quite well-known for it.

Someone is to blame for the stink raised but, “I don’t think it’s Ed’s fault.” Sensing that perhaps the singer could use a morale boost, Levi says, “Ed Sheeran, I love you. I love you. And your body is my wonderland.”
