Pedestrian injured after alleged hit and run in Richlands

RICHLANDS, Va. (WJHL) — The Richlands Police Department (RPD) is asking for the public’s help after a truck reportedly hit a pedestrian on Wednesday.

According to the RPD, a pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck near the Innovated Worship Center or Blue Moon on Front Street.

The truck involved is a newer model orange crew cab Ford Ranger, the RPD stated.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 276-964-9134 or by messaging its social media page.

“It’s not too late to do the right thing and come forward with any information pertaining to this incident,” the RPD said.
