Pebble Hills HS to hold dinner, concert for fundraiser for band to go to Rose Parade

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Pebble Hills High School will be having a dinner and concert to fundraise for the school’s band to go to the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.

The dinner and concert will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 in the high school’s cafeteria, located at 14400 Pebble Hills Boulevard. The dinner is spaghetti.

President of the Tournament of Roses Ed Morales and his wife, Lisa Morales, will present the official Tournament of Roses flag to the band and formally invite the Spartan band to perform at the Rose Parade, according to the news release by Socorro Independent School District (SISD).

According to SISD, Pebble Hills High School is the first El Paso high school band to perform at the parade. The Spartans are one of 20 bands worldwide to be selected to participate in the Rose Parade and Bandfest.

Bandfest is a two-day festival for bands to present their field shows in the Pasadena City College Mack and Jackie Robinson Stadium.

Tickets for the dinner and concert are $12 and tickets can be purchased from Pebble Hills band members or at the door the night of the event.

The Rose Parade will happen on Jan. 1, 2025 in Pasadena, California. The theme will be “Best Day Ever.”
