PD: Teen wanted for shooting that injured 15-year-old

COAL TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a teen accused of shooting a 15-year-old in the chest Tuesday afternoon in Coal Township, near Shamokin.

According to the Coal Twp Police Department, a warrant has been issued for 15-year-old Aiden Scott after a shooting incident happened Tuesday around 2:15 p.m.

Police say Scott fired a single shot from a pistol toward a 15-year-old boy.

Dad of homicide suspect charged with witness taunting

The gunshot hit the victim in the chest and he was flown to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for serious bodily injury, as stated in the release.

Due to the seriousness of the incident police stated they are charging Scott as an adult with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and other related offenses.

Scott, who has ties to the Philadelphia area, has not been located or arrested.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Coal Township Police or call the Northumberland County 911 Center.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
