Paul Siebenmorgen Cancer Center earns prestigious award

May 2—Terre Haute Regional Hospital on Thurday announced the Paul Siebenmorgen Cancer Center has been named a 2023 Human Experience HX Guardian of Excellence Award winner.

The award is presented by Press Ganey, which Regional in a news release called a "global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services." The award is part of Press Ganey's annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country.

As a winner of the HX Guardian of Excellence Award, the organization is in the top 5% of healthcare providers.

"This award symbolizes Regional and their Cancer Center's commitment to raising the bar for healthcare standards, inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the human experience," said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO and chairman at Press Ganey.

"We are so happy to celebrate the great work we do being recognized nationally for the seventh time by Press Ganey, said Mark Casanova, Regional Hospital's CEO.

"Dr. Ashis Chakrabarti, medical oncologist, and Dr.Tom Schmitz, radiation oncologist, have been committed for decades to taking care of our cancer patients, and they both embody the compassion, caring and excellence that's at the center of our mission."
