It is important to note that OPEIU includes registered nurses, university-certified registered nurse practitioners, or university-registered nurse supervisors.

“We are pleased to reach agreements with all of the represented employees, which recognizes their hard work and their contributions to their universities and the state,” Board Chair Cynthia Shapira said. “The faculty, staff and coaches at PASSHE universities are incredibly dedicated to educating their students inside the classroom and beyond to prepare them for successful careers and rewarding lives in Pennsylvania.”

Each of the APSCUF and OPEIU contracts are four-year agreements that are retroactive to July 1, 2023, and run through June 30, 2027.

Contract agreements:

The APSCUF faculty contract includes salary increases over a four-year period of 4%, 2%, 1.25% and 3%, and a step increase each spring semester. Any faculty who are at the top end of the pay scale will not receive a step increase, but will instead get a one-time cash payment of 2.5%.

APSCUF non-faculty coaches contracts include salary increases over the four-year period of 4%, 2.5%, 2%, 2.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 2.25%, and $450 payments for regular full-time and regular part-time coaches with two years of service on July 1, 2025, and July 1, 2026.

This new contract also sets a minimum salary threshold for full-time head coaches and assistant coaches.

The OPEIU contract agreement includes salary increases over the four-year period of 4%, 2%, 1.25% and 4%, and step increases each January. Members of OPEIU who are at the top of the pay scale will not receive a step increase but will get a one-time cash payment of 2.5%.
