Pasco deputies find Orbeez gun after Zephyrhills High School placed on ‘controlled campus status’

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) —Zephyrhills High School was placed on a “controlled campus status” after Pasco County deputies received a tip about a person on campus with a possible weapon.

Deputies said they searched the school out of an abundance of caution and found an Orbeez gun.

There is no threat to the school.

The sheriff’s office said the school will resume normal operations.

No other details were immediately available.
