Parts of Fort Riley under boil water advisory
FORT RILEY (KSNT) – State health officials say parts of a Kansas Army fort are under a boil water advisory Monday.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is issuing a boil water advisory Monday, April 29 impacting around 5,900 people in and around Fort Riley. This advisory concerns the Historic Main Post, Marshall Army Airfield, Camp Funston and Camp Whitside areas.
Kirk Hutchinson with Fort Riley says the water main for these areas was damaged at 8 p.m. on April 28. No other areas of Fort Riley will be impacted by this boil water advisory. Bottled water will be provided at Corvias Leasing Office, 45 Barry Avenue and Historic Main Post. The Long Fitness Center at 8069 Normandy Drive will be open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 29 providing showering facilities for people.
