The Ukrainian parliament has voted to establish a Temporary Investigative Commission (TIC) to examine how the military conducts the construction of battlefield fortifications and drone procurement, Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk said in May 22.

In a Telegram post, Kondratiuk said the commission will include MPs from all parliamentary parties.

Mykola Zadorozhnii, an MP from the ruling Servant of the People party, was appointed to chair the TIC, with Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk (Batkivshchyna) as his deputy. In total, the commission will include 13 MPs.

On May 21, MPs from the European Solidarity party blocked the parliament’s proceedings, demanding an immediate vote to ban the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, as well as to establish the TIC to look into military procurement.
