Be prepared for many more “gotcha” moments like this throughout the confirmation proceedings.
It's not up to the Supreme Court to determine the legality of firearms. Our Constitution allows firearms and it is up to Congress to make laws that regulate firearms in line with the Constitution. The Supreme Court only interprets those laws and they have for many years upheld our rights to bear arms. So trying to put this at the feet of Kavanaugh is just another Dem. strategy to try to derail his nomination.
Is the father prepared to have an educated discussion on the issue, or is he inserting an emotional argument that can't be reasoned with? Death is sad in all cases, but it doesn't negate the fact that the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to access weapons. I'm sure Kavanaugh is sorry to this man for his loss as he has young daughters, but what sense does it really accomplish anything to have a discussion with someone when you will cite constitutional fact and he will cite grief?
There should be a hearing on how so many protesters were able to enter the hearing today and who invited them in.
Democrats again attempting to influence a judge outside of established confirmation procedures. Real Americans see these attempts by the left to subvert the democratic process.
Kavanaugh's Senate Confirmation Hearing is stacked with protesters. Was this enabled by Democratic staffers to obstruct?
FBI & Local Sheriff's office was warned over a dozen times about the shooter yet they did nothing. Amazing how dad ignores them + the local police who was called to the shooters home 29 times
Yahoo's Goes Viral--Translation, we found a few people that agree with our liberal policies.
This father needs to direct his anger towards the local police department & FBI branch. They failed the students, not a possible SCOTUS judge that upholds the Constitution of the United States.
A random guy approached a supreme court nominee and he's supposed to know who he is and give him time instantaneously during his hearing week. Give me a break.
From the story: "The father of a high school student killed in the Parkland, Fla., gun massacre approached Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at Tuesday’s confirmation hearing in Washington, D.C., his hand outstretched."---He is a liberal democrat shill.
It isn't like Kavanaugh had anything on his mind at the moment and needed the distraction of the Parkland dad making a scene. This was a no-win situation for him and the dad purposely put him in the position. The dad wasn't interested in a discussion, and if he was - it wasn't the time for it. I would suggest that the dad go talk to the sheriff, principal and superintendent in Parkland.
