Shelter-in-place at Palo Alto high school lifted

(KRON) — A shelter-in-place order issued for a Palo Alto high school campus earlier has been lifted, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. The shelter-in-place was ordered as police investigated an “unconfirmed threat” at Gunn High School on 780 Arastradero Road.

All students and staff are safe at this time, police said. As a precautionary measure, shelter-in-place has also been issued for nearby Fletcher Middle School at 655 Arastradero, police said. That shelter-in-place was also lifted, police said.

“Our search of the school is complete,” police said. “No threats were found. Police and school officials have lifted the shelter-in-place and students will be dismissed as usual at 3:50 p.m.”
