Indian Canyon Drive reopens after nearly two-day closure but more wind expected

Indian Canyon Drive reopened through the Whitewater Wash late Monday morning, nearly two days after it closed because of blowing sand.

However, the road may not stay open for long as North Palm Springs is again expected to see windy weather Monday and Tuesday. Gusts of 45 mph and 30 mph, respectively, are expected on those days, according to the National Weather Service.

Road conditions will be updated.
