Palestine giving away free children’s fishing poles for Family Fishing Day

PALESTINE, Texas (KETK) – The City of Palestine is offering families the chance to reel in a free fishing pole for the children at their Family Fishing Day event on Saturday.

Blue Bell announces new limited-time flavor to beat summer heat

The family event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blue Lake on Saturday. According to the city, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has provided cat fish for the event and Palestine Parks and Recreation is giving away 50 fishing poles for children, bait and more.

Palestine said that a fishing license is not required for the event and that the free fishing poles are limited to two per family.
