PA Lottery ticket worth $500K sold in Lackawanna County

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Lackawanna County sold a Powerball® with Double Play® ticket worth $500,000.

The ticket matched five of the five Double Play® balls on the May 20 drawing, 5-38-39-41-69, but not the Double Play® Powerball® number 25, to win $500,000.

Tobacco King on Northern Boulevard in South Abington Township will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back.
