Overturned cement truck causes traffic delays on I-264 eastbound, driver injured
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An overturned cement truck caused major traffic delays on I-264 eastbound near Ballentine Boulevard in Norfolk Wednesday morning.
Virginia State Police said the vehicle crashed just before 11 a.m. when the driver lost control due to a blown out tire.
The driver was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to be treated for injuries.
VDOT cameras showed emergency crews working to clear the scene and traffic snarled along I-264.
All lanes and the on-ramp reopened before 3:30 p.m.
