Overnight: Fire destroys northeast Charlotte home

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway after an overnight fire broke out at a home in a northeast Charlotte neighborhood, the Charlotte Fire Department said Friday.

Fire personnel responded to calls regarding the incident around 2 a.m. at a home near 400 Dawn Circle in northeast Charlotte. Fire was showing upon arrival and crews were able to get it under control within 15 minutes. One person was treated on scene by Medic.

The cause of the fire and the estimated cost of damages have not yet been released.
