Over 1 pound of meth seized, four arrested in Elkmont drug bust

ELKMONT, Ala (WHNT) — Law enforcement officials say over a pound of meth and other drugs were seized and four people were arrested after a narcotics operation in Elkmont.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said Sheriff Josh McLaughlin, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit, the Limestone County SWAT Team, and LCSO K9 ‘Hoss’ conducted the operation earlier this week.

During the operation, over 520 grams – or just over one pound – of methamphetamine, three firearms and various types of pills were seized, according to authorities.

Randall Daly, Tammy Sizemore, Charles Phillips and Carol Scott, all of Elkmont, were all arrested during the drug bust.

Daly is charged with drug trafficking, distribution of a controlled substance, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of dangerous drugs, and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Limestone County Jail, waiting for his bond to be set.

LCSO added that Sizemore, Phillips and Scott have all been charged with illegal possession of dangerous drugs, and each of them has been released from jail at this time.
