Power restored to nearly 1,300 FirstEnergy customers who lost power in Goodyear Heights

Utility crews restored power to roughly 1,300 FirstEnergy customers in Akron's Goodyear Heights neighborhood hours after they lost power Saturday morning, according to the FirstEnergy website.

As of 11:50 a.m., FirstEnergy had removed the affected area from the outage map, leaving nearly 30 customers without power remaining in the Summit County area.

A cause for the outage was not listed on the company website. A FirstEnergy representative was not immediately available to comment on the outage.
