Ottawa Co. class to teach response to active shooter event

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A free instructional class hosted by Ottawa County to help its civilians plan in the case of an active shooter situation is already full.

Ottawa County’s Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class, also known as CRASE, is no longer taking applications for participants. The strategies and guidance in a CRASE class break down ways to survive an active shooter event, the county says. Participants must be 18 years old.

The class is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday inside the Ottawa County Administration Building in Olive Township. If Ottawa County offers more classes, it will push out email alerts, which you can subscribe to here.
