Injured man in Osterville flown to hospital after boat fell on him. Here's what to know.

Rescuers took an injured man to Rhode Island Hospital Friday afternoon after he was hurt when a 34-foot boat fell on him at Moniz Circle in Osterville, according to the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department. The man was trapped between the boat and a boat trailer.

The rescue took about 30 minutes, and the man was flown by helicopter to the Providence hospital with traumatic crush injuries, according to the fire department. The fire department did not have further information on the man's condition Saturday morning, fire Capt. Eric Sabatinelli said.

The 911 call came into the fire station and Barnstable police at about 3:13 p.m. Rescuers and police found that the boat had shifted off-center from a trailer, and man was trapped between the boat and trailer, according to the fire department report.
