Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office launches new website

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced the launch of its new website.

The OPSO reported the new website was designed to be an easy and accessible place for residents to get information about the OPSO’s operations, initiatives, services and resources.

“This website represents a significant milestone for our department as we strive to enhance transparency, accessibility, and communication with our community,” said Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson.

According to a news release, the website was made in partnership with CivicPlus.

The release states the new website will allow residents to get comprehensive information about the OPSO and offers resources to residents, including detainee search tools and community program information.

The website was also designed to be accessible from a computer or a mobile device.

According to the OPSO, “The website is designed to comply with web accessibility standards, making it easy for individuals with disabilities to navigate and utilize its features.”
