Operation Blessing to provide disaster relief in Slidell, Louisiana

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Operation Blessing is headed to Slidell, Louisiana to provide relief to those impacted by Wednesday’s tornado.

According to Slidell Mayor Greg Cromer, about 75 homes and businesses were damaged in the city.

Residents in need of assistance can fill out a work order request for free volunteer help starting Monday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at Celebration Church, 1615 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, Louisiana.

The organization is also calling for local volunteers to help with debris removal and chainsaw work.
