Opening Day will have multiple players on MLB rosters who have ties to the Sacramento area.

Here is who will be representing the region on the diamond this season.

Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants

Rocklin native Logan Webb will be on the mound for the San Francisco Giants on Opening Day.

Webb will look to follow up a successful 2023 season when he was named as a finalist for the Cy Young Award, an annual award given to the best pitcher in the Majors.

The former Rocklin High pitcher finished second in voting to his now-teammate Blake Snell, who pitched for the San Diego Padres last season.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, who was born in Sacramento, but calls Linden home, enters the 2024 season as one of the best power hitters in baseball.

The five-time MLB all-star is heading into the season with career numbers of 257 home runs and 572 RBI.

Judge is two years removed from hitting 62 home runs, the most in a single season in the American League.
