One person dead after hitting deer in Jackson Co.

JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) – An individual died Thursday evening after a crash in Jackson County north of Holton.

At 8:45 p.m., The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), Jackson County Fire and local EMS responded to a crash at 245th Road on U.S. 75. According to the JCSO, the driver hit a deer resulting in the death of a passenger.

Kansans are choosing to move to Missouri

The KHP is investigating the incident, according to the JCSO. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
