One person dead after four-vehicle crash in Augusta
One person is dead after a four-vehicle wreck Thursday at the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Cherokee Trail in Augusta.
Brian Wells, 55, of Mitchell, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Richmond County Coroner's Office.
Just before 10 a.m., Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Cherokee Trail for a crash, according to previous reporting.
When deputies arrived, they found one of the drivers, later identified as Wells, died from his injuries.
All lanes were reopened, as of 3:30 p.m.
