SCRANTON, PA (NEXSTAR) – The first stop was Scranton, where President Joe Biden spoke to voters about tax fairness and his plan to make corporations and the wealthy pay up.

“We’re going to win the House back and I think we’ll win the Senate, and God willing with the creek not rising, I’ll be president again.

The president plans to spend three days in Pennsylvania, his campaign says, the state is a must-win.

While President Biden is campaigning in Pennsylvania this week, former president Donald Trump is in a New York courtroom.

Trump has blamed Biden for his legal troubles, but the president says he is not to blame.

“His lack of ethics has nothing to do with me,” Biden said.

While in Scranton, President Biden visited his childhood home and met families in his old neighborhood.

Pro-Palestinian protesters were nearby. They’re angry with the president’s response to the Israel-Hamas war.

“Well, I’ve been meeting with them number one, number two I’ve made it clear that we have to vastly increase the amount of food, water and healthcare going into Gaza,” Biden said.

The president is juggling issues abroad and at home and says he has a plan to deal with inflation.

“We get those prices down by making sure we get corporate profits…brought under control,” he said.

The president also plans to swing through Pittsburgh while he’s in the state.
