Two killed, three injured in five separate weekend shootings in Baltimore

Two men were killed and three people were injured in five separate shootings throughout Baltimore this weekend.

A 35-year-old man died after being shot Saturday night in East Baltimore, Baltimore Police said in a news release.

Officers responded at about 11:39 p.m. to the 1400 block of East Biddle Street for a ShotSpotter alert and found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died.

Around 1:05 p.m. on Friday, Baltimore Police officers responded to the 5400 block of Sinclair Lane in the Frankford neighborhood to investigate a shooting and found a 55-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Medics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Friday night, officers responded to the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10:47 p.m. in the Upton neighborhood for reports of a shooting and found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Medics took the victim to a hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

In Southeast Baltimore, officers went near the intersection of North Montford Avenue and McElderry Street in the McElderry Park neighborhood around 12:34 p.m. Saturday.

They located a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle on the 600 block of North Montford Avenue. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A 48-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after she was shot in Cherry Hill, according to police.

Southern District officers responded at about 4:38 a.m. Sunday to a hospital, where the woman was being treated for gunshot wounds, police said. She told investigators that she had been shot on the 800 block of Bethune Road.
