One dead in motorcycle crash in Lycoming County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Lycoming County.

According to state police 74-year-old David Mangle died on the scene after his motorcycle hit a guide rail on the roadway.

Crash causes lane restrictions on Route 15

State police said Mangle attempted to “negotiate” a right curve on the road while traveling downhill before hitting the guide rail and being dislodged from the motorcycle down an embankment.

Officials say Mangle succumbed to his injuries as a result of the crash before first responders arrived on scene.
