Mother dead, child critically injured in Dale Co. crash

DALE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A Dale County woman was killed, and her toddler was left critically injured after a one-vehicle crash on Fort Novosel.

Coroner John Cawley said 23-year-old Kimberley Nicole Ingram of Ozark was killed Thursday night after her Dodge Avenger left the road and hit a tree on Highway 27. Ingram was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:50 p.m.

According to Coroner Cawley, Ingram’s 3-year-old daughter was critically injured in the crash and was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital.

Coroner Cawley tells WDHN Ingram may have been speeding, but she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
