Teenage boy injured in shooting at Goddard Walmart

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A teenage boy was injured in a shooting at the Goddard Walmart.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened around 5 p.m. Saturday in the 18600 block of Kellogg Drive.

The SCSO said the victim was a teenage boy. He was initially triaged with critical injuries but is in stable condition at the hospital now. Dispatch said the shooting happened in the parking lot.

The SCSO said they have a person of interest in custody, and there is no danger to the public. An investigation is ongoing.
