Olivia Munn’s letter supporting Aaron Rodgers after his playoff loss is giving us all couple goals
Between his team’s 44-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night and his ongoing, painfully public rift from his family, Aaron Rodgers had a tough week — but Olivia Munn, his girlfriend of three years, totally has his back.
And after reading what she had to say in a letter to his fans last night, we are officially shipping these two more than ever.
“So proud of this team,” Munn said in a handwritten note on Instagram, with Green Bay Packers-inspired green-and-yellow hearts added for good measure. “They faced a lot of adversity on and off the field, but battled to get this far. Thank you to those of you who encouraged and supported them by choosing to put out only positive energy. It helped them get this far.”

When Munn says “off the field,” she is likely referring to the aforementioned heartbreaking rift. Rodgers’ family drama was revealed when his younger brother, Jordan, starred on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelor last year, and interest in their affairs has seemingly gotten stronger since the Packers entered the NFL playoffs.
Aaron is estranged from his brother and parents, with his father, Ed, making some pretty damning comments in a New York Times interview just last week.
“Fame can change things,” Ed said, with the outlet speculating that he may have been referring to his son’s relationship with Munn — a Bleacher Report story claimed that the Rodgers family rift began shortly after Aaron began dating Munn in 2014, and Ed confirmed its contents as accurate.
A source close to the family told People that this was all bunk, saying “that “Olivia doesn’t have anything to do with it” and that “this is not her issue; this is the Rodgers family issue.
“Aaron has never wanted want to air this out in a public forum…he will deal with his family issues privately,” the source continued.
And since this all sounds really freaking heartbreaking and awful — millions of NFL dollars cannot compare with the feeling of having a tight-knit, loving family (we think) — we’re just going to stop here and say we’re happy to hear that Aaron at least has Munn on his side, and that we sincerely hope that the rest of the Rodgers clan sorts out their differences as soon as possible.
