Oklahoma National Guard announces Memorial Day Ceremony

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma National Guard Office of Public Affairs is inviting the public to the annual Memorial Day ceremony, hosted by the Oklahoma National Guard Museum.

According to The Oklahoma Military Department, the ceremony will be held May 27, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Oklahoma National Guard Museum, located at 2145 Northeast 36th Street in Oklahoma City. Members of the 145th Army Band are scheduled to begin playing at 9:30 a.m.

The keynote speaker for the event this year is Brig. Gen. Christopher Eason, who currently serves as assistant adjutant general for the Oklahoma Air National Guard. Brig. Gen. Eason is responsible for the combat readiness and operational effectiveness of all OKANG units.

The event is open to the public and limited parking is available on the museum grounds. Overflow parking is available at the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety facility directly across Northeast 36th Street from the Museum.
