Oklahoma man sentenced to life for sexually abusing six-year-old

TULSA, Okla. – An Afton man convicted of handcuffing and shackling a 6-year-old girl while sexually abusing her was sentenced to life in federal prison.

Glenn David Nickols, 41, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma earlier this year to aggravated sexual abuse of a minor under 12 in Indian Country, and sexual exploitation of a child.

“This life sentence holds Nickols accountable for his predatory actions and puts him in prison where he cannot exploit another child,” said U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson in a prepared statement.

Nickols confessed to involving the child in child pornography activity from March 1, 2020, to August 31, 2020, according to the plea agreement.

A search warrant on Nickols’ email account showed 18 emails depicting 107 images and two videos containing child pornography, according to a seven-page criminal complaint affidavit filed in May 2021.

Some of the video images showed the unclothed child “with both hands handcuffed together and placed above her head and a blue ribbon or blue tape across her mouth” and another image showed the victim with “black ankle restraints on her ankles” and another image showed the child being sexually abused, according to the affidavit.

Nickols is serving 10 years in state prison for child pornography out of Delaware County.
