Oklahoma man pleads guilty in federal shooting case
TULSA, Okla. — A Quapaw man pleaded guilty to a federal weapons charge in connection to an Ottawa County shooting.
Charles William Pebeahsy, III. 52, pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm in Indian Country.
Federal charges of assault with intent to commit murder in Indian Country and carrying, using, brandishing and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence were dismissed.
Pebeahsy confessed to firing several shots from a semi-automatic rifle toward Colin Beattie on May 31, 2023, according to his plea agreement.
The plea agreement calls for Pebeahsy to serve between five to eight years.
