Ohio man allegedly found with drugs in White Deer Township

May 24—WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP — A man from Ohio, who was pulled over for speeding in White Deer Township, was allegedly found with multiple containers filled with marijuana, according to state police in Milton.

Kenneth Jerome Williams, 41, of Free Avenue, Oakwood Village, Ohio, was charged with two felony counts of drug possession; three misdemeanor counts of possessing a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance; and a summary count of speeding. The charges were filed by state Trooper Luke Hook, of the Milton State Police Barracks, in the Mifflinburg office of District Judge Jeffrey Mensch.

Hook reported he pulled Williams over for allegedly speeding in a gray Jeep Cherokee at 12:15 p.m. May 20 on Interstate 80 in White Deer Township. Hook reported he detected the odor of marijuana and observed the drug in the vehicle. Williams does not have a medical marijuana card, police said.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 16 plastic bags containing marijuana residue, 33 plastic bags containing leaf marijuana, a glass jar containing approximately 284 grams of THC wax, two plastic jars containing THC wax, a plastic bag containing 19 THC joints, two large one-pound bags containing marijuana residue, am empty vacuum sealed bag and two glass containers containing marijuana residue, police said.

Williams was arraigned on May 20 and committed as a Union County Jail inmate in lieu of $75,000 cash bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Mensch at 2:30 p.m. June 11.
