O’Shea Keleher Whole Child Academy to celebrate Earth Day with new garden
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – In celebration of Earth Day, O’Shea Keleher Whole Child Academy will host a grand opening for the school’s new garden from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, the Socorro Independent School District (SISD) announced in a news release.
SISD says pre-K, kindergarten and first-grade students will plant seeds and participate in garden decorating activities such as chalk art, rock painting and making sun catchers.
“The O’Shea Keleher Whole Child Academy, which opened in the fall of 2023, offers a challenging learning environment that includes social-emotional learning to help students develop a strong foundation for childhood and a healthy outlook on life,” read the news release.
