NWACC closing early Tuesday due to no running water

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — NorthWest Arkansas Community College announced their main campus in Bentonville will be closing early on Tuesday due to no running water, according to a Facebook post.

“At this time, the NWACC Bentonville Campus does not have running water due to a water main break. Due to this issue, the campus will close at 4:30 p.m. TODAY,” NWACC said in the post.

NWACC says all classes will be canceled and the bathrooms are out of order.

North Water Tower Road will be closed and traffic will be redirected.

“Campus officials are working on the issue. As we gather more details, we will inform the campus community,” NWACC said.

Debbie Griffin with the City of Bentonville said Water Tower Road from Meadowbrook to SE NWACC Blvd is closed. A 12-inch water line was hit by a contractor and water to that line has been shut off, Griffin said.

Street and water crews are assessing the damage.
